Newgale camping trip, Wales 05-24
We do love to camp! Our first camp of the year was at Newgale, Pembrokeshire, Wales over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
Friday: Di, Anna, Phil, Dan, Amanda and Chris got there early and started to set up camp. Linzie, Kit and kids arrived later and Charlie and Lucy got there just before check-in closed at 10!
Saturday: we chilled in the morning while we waited for Gus, James and Jo to join us, then headed out at low tide for a paddle. There was a mix of SUP/Kayak/bodyboard and sit-on-top. Great fun!
The beach was beautiful and there were lifeguards there, which was a real safety bonus.
After paddling we headed back to camp and enjoyed pizza by the fire pit with smores for dessert!
Sunday: some of us headed into St David's for a walk round the Cathedral and lunch of oggies and ice cream 😋. Others enjoyed a walk along the coastal path to Solva and back. We met back at camp for low tide and headed back out to the water. Dinner round the campfire was fish and chips... Followed by toasting marshmallows on the fire.
Monday: we packed up and reluctantly made the long drive home.
Such a fantastic weekend with fabulous company, lots of laughs and lots of fun on the water!
