Symonds Yat 04-26

Birmingham Canoe Club members spent a day at Symonds Yat on the River Wye, one of the UK’s most popular paddlesport locations. The group enjoyed a mix of kayaking and canoeing on gentle moving water, with time spent developing confidence on the river and practising key skills in a supportive environment.

Throughout the day, paddlers worked on river safety techniques including throw line rescues, helping build experience and awareness when paddling in moving water. The conditions at Symonds Yat provided an ideal setting for both newer paddlers and more experienced members to develop their skills while enjoying a relaxed day on the water.

Symonds Yat is a well-known canoeing and kayaking destination in the UK, offering scenic views, easy access to the River Wye, and a great introduction to paddlesport in a river environment.
